The Gorman Mural is located at Gorman Elementary School in Gorman, California.
The tiles were created and glazed by 50 kindergarten through 8th grade students who participated in every phase of the planning and production under the guidance of Leigh Adams and dance and movement teacher Sandy Biery.
Glass inclusions were both made and purchased and the process was used to teach physics and recycling.
The mural represents the wildflower covered hills of Gorman and Christo's Umbrella installation.
